Spooktacular 2025 Halloween Tabletop & TCG Releases in Singapore

Spooky Season Brings New Tabletop Gaming Releases

As the nights grow longer and the weather turns cooler, tabletop gaming reaches its peak during the spooky season. This time of year not only brings a surge in horror-themed games but also serves as a prime opportunity for new releases that cater to both seasoned players and newcomers alike.

This Halloween, several exciting titles are making their way to the market, offering something for every type of gamer. From popular franchises like Dungeons & Dragons and Marvel to indie hits, there’s no shortage of options to keep you entertained throughout the season.

D&D and Marvel Crossovers

One of the most anticipated releases this year is a new set of Dungeons & Dragons games, including another crossover with the hit series Stranger Things. This collaboration brings together the eerie atmosphere of the show with the immersive world of D&D, creating a unique experience for fans. Additionally, there are multiple Spider-Man crossovers that blend the superhero’s adventures with the game’s mechanics, offering a fresh take on familiar stories.

For those looking for something original, the dice placement game The Druids Of Edora provides a creative and strategic challenge. It’s a great example of how original IP still has a place in the ever-expanding world of tabletop gaming.

Video Game Spin-Offs

In addition to traditional board and card games, there are also video game spin-offs that have captured the attention of gamers. One such release is a highly sought-after Pokémon Trading Card Game box set, which is proving to be difficult to acquire. Another notable entry is Riot Games’ attempt to create a League Of Legends card game that aims to rival the iconic Magic: The Gathering.

Warhammer: Helsmiths Of Hashut

Among the standout releases is Warhammer: Helsmiths Of Hashut, which reintroduces the Chaos Duardin, also known as Demon Dwarves, with a focus on resource-driven gameplay. The core of this army lies in the Infernal Cohorts, infantry units that become stronger as they generate Daemonic Power Points (DPP). The War Despot enhances objective control and gains power with each desolation token earned, while the Dominator Engine is a formidable unit that can be armed with Bane Maces for melee combat or Immolation Cannons for ranged attacks.

Artillery options like the Tormentor Bombard and Deathshrieker Rocket Battery provide long-range capabilities, ensuring versatility on the battlefield. The Helsmiths’ unique mechanic of converting battlefield control into DPP and then using it to enhance units adds a layer of strategy that rewards careful planning.

Although the starter set may seem modest in terms of the number and size of miniatures, it offers a striking collection that is tactically sound. The RRP for the starter set is £123.00.
