Jonathan Owens’ Bold Fashion Choices Spark Debate
NFL players are no strangers to making bold fashion statements, but on Sunday night, Bears star Jonathan Owens found himself in the crosshairs of the fashion police. Ahead of the Bears’ Monday night clash, the safety shared a photo dump to Instagram, showcasing a collection of snapshots from throughout the NFL season.
While most of the images highlighted Owens’ sharp pregame looks, one photo in particular caused quite a stir in his comment section. In the opening photo, Owens was seen arriving for last weekend’s game wearing a matching vest and trousers, topped off with a silk scarf wrapped around his head. Fans were not convinced over the outfit and quickly headed for the comment section to discuss the Bears star’s fashion faux pas.
One fan wrote: “Some of these pictures are ok, some are not. People who love you should tell you, not to be mean, but so you should know.” Another said: “Do you think these guys are paid to wear this stuff?” Meanwhile, another commented: “I love you, but this is a no.” One fan even questioned: “Did he lose a bet?”
Other pictures showed similarly out-there fashion choices, such as an all-white suit that Owens wore before a game – which included a see-through, mesh t-shirt.
A New Chapter for Owens and Biles
Meanwhile, away from the field, Owens recently made a shock family announcement with his wife, Simone Biles, after revealing they would be moving into a custom-built mansion in Texas. However, just last month, Biles shared a new update on the mansion and revealed it is still not complete after over two years of construction.
The legendary American gymnast took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse of the work that is ongoing at their property, describing it as “minor aesthetic adjustments.” The photos showed a number of spaces in the $3 million mansion that are undergoing significant work, with scaffolding set up in one room and a construction worker walking along protective coverings laid down on wooden flooring in another.
In another snap posted on her story, Biles poked fun at the “minor” tweaks that need to be made after capturing an entertainment room that has wires sticking out of the walls and more protective wooden panels across the entire floor.
Nevertheless, while there is still work to be done, her and Owens’ home did appear to be nearing completion at long last. The Olympic icon has previously shown off other areas of it on Instagram, posting shots of a stylish kitchen designed with black and white stone. She has also uploaded photos of the bathroom, which has tiles installed in the shower.
